Who are the St. Mary Ambassadors?

The St. Mary Ambassadors are comprised of students from Grades 9 to 12 who attend St. Mary CSS. Every year approximately 50 students sign up to join this committee that serve the school community as official volunteers. Since 2002 the St. Mary Ambassadors have volunteered in many school events in following the school motto - AMARE ET SERVIRE (To Love and Serve).

Why should students join the St. Mary Ambassadors?

You can earn community service hours. (You need 40 hours of community service as part of your high school graduation expectations. Some Ambassadors volunteer between 5 to 15 hours per school year). You can get involved in YOUR school. You can include this experience in your resume. You can meet people and make new friends. Time requirements in the St. Mary Ambassadors is very flexible which allows you to join other co-curricular activities. You only volunteer for an event that you are available to attend.

How do I volunteer for an event as a St. Mary Ambassador?

Students must complete a St. Mary Ambassador Profile form and return to Mr. Stanesic by Mid-September. Students can join during the school year. Upcoming events which require ambassadors are made in the morning announcements, and on Mr. Stanesic's classroom door (room 238). Sign Up Forms (room 238) will include all the specifics (Where? When? Etc) and for which teacher or department that the Ambassadors are helping out.
