October 10th marks World Mental Health Day, but what is Mental Health? Everyone has Mental Health just like we have physical health. Mental health includes our emotional, mental, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act and also helps shape how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. Mental health can shift from good to bad and back again throughout the day. Whatever you are feeling, whether it’s having good mental health or bad mental health or something in between, know that you’re not alone. As always, you can reach out to a trusted adult here at school if you want to talk about it.

October 10th is Mental Health Day, a day used to raise awareness about mental health issues around the world and to mobilize efforts in support of mental health. But what is mental health?
Mental health is a desirable state of well-being or flourishing. Just like our physical health, our mental health changes – we all have times when we don’t feel mentally well.
Mental health and mental illness aren’t the same things, though the terms are sometimes confused and used interchangeably. With appropriate care and support, people who are mentally ill can experience positive mental wellness.
