Mental Health & Well-Being: Pride Month
Together for Mental Health: Everyone, Everyday
Developing positive mental health is important to academic achievement and overall well-being.
As we begin the month of June, we take a moment to reflect on the importance of Pride Month—a time dedicated to recognizing the dignity, worth, and contributions of members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community.
Rooted in our Catholic values, we are called to live out the Gospel message of love, compassion, and respect for all people. The Catechism of the Catholic Church reminds us that every person is created in the image and likeness of God and deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.
This month, we reaffirm our commitment to fostering a school environment where every student feels safe, valued, and supported. We encourage open-hearted dialogue, kindness in our actions, and a spirit of inclusion that reflects Christ’s love for all.

As we enter the month of June, we take time to recognize Pride Month, a time that reminds us of the importance of treating every person with dignity, kindness, and respect—values that are deeply rooted in our Catholic faith.
At DCDSB, we are committed to nurturing a school environment where every child feels safe, valued, and loved. Pride Month offers us an opportunity to teach our students about inclusion, empathy, and the beauty of diversity, always guided by the teachings of Jesus, who calls us to love one another.
