EQAO’s New Student Advisory Committee - Call for Applications

Posted On Tuesday April 24, 2018

EQAO is excited to announce the creation of the EQAO Student Advisory Committee, whose role will be to represent the student voice in the agency’s activities. The Student Advisory Committee is the fourth and newest committee within our governance structure. The others are the EQAO Advisory Committee, the Modernization in Measurement Advisory Panel and the Equity Council.

Students are the focus of EQAO’s work, and they value learners’ perspectives on everything that they do. As EQAO seeks to continuously improve its programs, they want to ensure that students’ voices are informing their thinking.

EQAO celebrates student diversity across the province, and their approach to open dialogue welcomes all viewpoints. When selecting committee members, they will ensure a diverse representation of students’ experiences and perspectives. They’ll also look for students who demonstrate a passion for effecting change in their communities and who have a desire to make a difference—either through their actions or through their ideas.

Please find attached an invitation to students, which outlines eligibility criteria, and the application form for this opportunity. Submissions must be received by May 31, 2018 and selections will be announced on June 20, 2018.
