Register for the DELF Proficiency Exam
All Grade 12 students who enrolled in a French language course during Semester 1 or who are currently enrolled in French, are eligible to apply for the DELF exam. The exam will take place during the week of May 6-10, 2019.
The Diplôme d'études en langue française (DELF) is an internationally recognized assessment of French proficiency. The exam measures a student's ability to use French in everyday life. Students' French skills are measured across four areas:
- Listening;
- Speaking;
- Reading; and
- Writing.
Students choose one of the three testing levels to complete - A2, B1, and B2. The student's French teacher will discuss the best testing level for a student to complete.
Students who are interested in participating in the exam are encouraged to visit https://www.dcdsb.ca/en/programs-services/DELF-French-Proficiency-Exam.aspx for additional information and to speak to their French teacher for support in the registration process.
Registration opens on February 20 and closes on March 6, 2019.
