Ontario Native Education Counselling Association (ONECA) Art Contest

Are you a young artist in Ontario? 

Would you like to see your work featured on TVO’s microsite www.TeachOntario.ca?

The Ministry of Education’s Building Futures program is creating a microsite of resources for beginning teachers to build their understanding of Indigenous education. ONECA is supporting them by hosting an Art contest for K – 12 students. 

We need your help!

THE WINNER GETS AN APPLE IPAD WITH HEAD PHONES!

We are looking for images of pathways. Pathways show that learning is a process and a life long journey. We are looking for Ontario students to illustrate this path!

Who can submit: Students between the age of 3 – 21 who are registered in an Ontario school.

What can be submitted: Acrylic, crayon, pencil, or water colour drawings ORIGINAL STUDENT Art work that is un-published.

How: You can submit a high resolution jpeg image to art@oneca.com or you can mail the original work to: Ontario Native Education Counselling Association, P.O. Box 220, 37A Reserve Road Naughton Ontario P0M 2M0 (Please note original art pieces will not be returned.)

When: All submissions must be received by February 28, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. Late submissions will not be accepted.

The winner will be notified either via email or phone call from the Ontario Native Education Association. The winner will need to submit the original art piece.

The winning art piece will be specially featured on the microsite, and all submissions will be featured on our webpage.

The Ontario Native Education Counseling Association is the host for this project, with support from the Ministry of Education. The microsite will be maintained by Television Ontario (TVO).
