Educational Europe Trip: Commemorating the Liberation of the Netherlands (May 2020)

In May of 1945 Canadian soldiers finally got to put down their weapons and enjoy peace as World War Two came to an end. 2020 marks the 75th anniversary of the war and the staff and students of Durham Catholic District School Board will be travelling to Europe to mark this important moment in our country's history.

This 10 day trip will include:
  • Amsterdam: Students will visit Anne Frank's House, tour the city and do a canal cruise. Students will also participate in the 75th Anniversary Ceremony at Wageningen. 
  • Berlin: Students will tour the city, go to the Checkpoint Charlie Museum and visit the Holocaust Museum
  • Prague: a tour of the city with guided sightseeing
  • Krakow/Auschwitz: Students will tour the Auschwitz Concentration Camp and tour the city of Krakow at the end of the tour.
